Lesson: Naming line notes

There are 5 lines in each staff and each line has a different letter name. Each time you go from line to line, you skip a letter in the alphabet. Starting with the lowest line, practice saying the letter names of the lines for the treble staff ("E-G-B-D-F") repeatedly at least 10 times. Do the same for the lines of the bass staff ("G-B-D-F-A").  Each of the line notes are presented in a random order. If the note is in the treble staff, start with the lowest line ("E"). If the note is in the bass staff, however, start with the lowest line ("G"). Memorize the lowest line for each staff and figure out the other lines by skipping your way up from the lowest line every time. There is no time limitation, so you can take the time you need to figure out each note correctly.
